Unsolved Case Files for Rozema's Forensic Science Class!
Help me give my students realistic, hands-on Forensic Science experience, with these "Unsolved Case Files" games! Each game set comes with comprehensive evidence logs, copies of evidence collected, transcripts from interviews and interrogations, and analyzed forensic data!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Forensic Science is a 1 Semester, Science Elective here at LMTHS. A wide variety of students sign up for my class, including 10th-11th-12th grade students, Advanced Placement and Honors students, and Special Education Certified, and English Language students.
My goal is to make my Forensic Science class motivating, exciting, interesting, and useful for students of all academic levels, backgrounds, and post-high school goals.
The Unsolved Case Files sets only need to be purchased once, and I will be able to use them with my new students every semester to follow! These games will provide real-world application of the Forensic Science concepts and protocols we will learn in class.
First Semester students worked in small groups on the Harmony Ashcroft case to identify Direct and Circumstantial Evidence provided, create a Timeline of Events, create a Concept Map of Suspects and connections to the crime, and finally Write An Argument based on, and citing, the evidence provided to identify the criminal!
