This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
As an educator, one of the things I love most about my students is their curiosity and eagerness to learn. They constantly seek out new ways to explore and understand the world around them. That's why I am excited to propose a hands-on dissection project for my classroom that will allow them to delve deeper into the mysteries of anatomy and biology.
The specific items I am requesting for this project include dissection kits, specimens, and lab equipment.
These resources will provide my students with the necessary tools to engage in hands-on learning experiences that will enhance their understanding of complex biological concepts. By dissecting specimens such as frogs, earthworms, or pigs, they will be able to see firsthand how different organs and systems work together in living organisms.
My goals for this project are twofold: first, I want to foster a greater appreciation for the intricacies of the natural world among my students. By engaging in hands-on activities like dissections, they will better understand how living organisms function and evolve. Second, I aim to cultivate critical thinking skills and scientific inquiry by encouraging my students to ask questions, make observations, and draw conclusions based on evidence.
