it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our classroom is in dire need of some good old-fashioned board games. My students love to use technology (a little too much) during rainy days, during free-time, and at the end-of-year. However, I really want my students to unplug their devices and learn to play classic children's games.
These board games teach cooperation, problem solving, fair play, and patience while working on counting skills and comprehension.
They also encourage waiting, turn taking, sharing, how to cope with losing, making conversation, compromising, collaborating and being flexible...which are all life skills that digital devices do not provide. Please donate to our class!
