Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I want these books because they may appeal to those who might not otherwise read a lot. I attended a school librarian conference and many of these titles were recommend by other librarians. All of these titles were read by other librarians I trust.
I have a lot of students who come to the library during the day looking for a safe place.
I also want to increase the number of simple games and activities I have in the library. The card games are for those students who need an organized activity to help them meet others, while the watercolor boards are for those who just need a quiet, independent activity to relax.
Finally, I have students who create some amazing artwork that I'd love to display in the library. A laminator in the library would allow me to reinforce student work for displaying and make it a little more special.
