My Project

The energy and curiosity of my High School English students (grades 10-11) are truly inspiring. Coming from diverse backgrounds, they bring a vibrant tapestry of experiences to the classroom. This project aims to ignite their passion for literature while fostering critical thinking and a global perspective.

Here's how each resource will empower their learning:

The Book of Lost Names: This captivating historical novel will transport them to World War II Europe. They'll be captivated by the story of a forger who risks everything to save Jewish children. Analyzing the characters' choices will spark discussions about courage, identity, and the power of resistance. It's a powerful reminder of the human spirit in the darkest of times.

My goal is to transform my classroom from a place where students passively consume stories to a dynamic space for exploration and active participation. With these resources, they'll become not just readers but critical thinkers, storytellers, and citizens engaged with the world around them.
