My Project
My goal is for students to engage in activities that allow them to explore science and engineering practices, master challenging concepts, think critically, and solve problems. These unique kits help tailor hands-on activities to our students’ learning needs and facilitate my planning and preparation.
Use dramatic demonstrations to introduce or review the fundamental concepts in AP® Chemistry with Carolina Chemonstrations® for Use with AP® Chemistry.
This package includes 6 demonstration kits, each containing 2 to 4 demos that give remarkable examples of:
Atomic Structure
Properties of Matter
Chemical Reactions
Reaction Rates
Thermodynamics
Chemical Equilibrium
Each engaging kit helps students understand the particle-level interactions that result in dramatic observed phenomena. Multiple demonstrations in each kit give students a framework for understanding AP® Chemistry concepts and help students move from the big picture to hard science. Students demonstrate their grasp of the concepts underlying the demo through a particle-level explanation, apply their knowledge to analyze the data presented, and think critically about the topics by answering assessment questions.
