it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am continually inspired by my students' resilience and determination to succeed, even when faced with challenges like dyslexia. They are creative, curious, and bring a unique perspective to learning. My students are special because they don't let obstacles define them—they rise above and work hard to achieve their goals.
This project is focused on providing essential tools to support their literacy journey.
Decodable readers will offer engaging, structured texts that help them build foundational reading skills step by step. Dyslexia strips will make reading less overwhelming by highlighting one line of text at a time, improving focus and comprehension. Activity books will add a fun, interactive element to their learning, reinforcing key concepts in a hands-on way.
My goal for this project is to equip my students with resources that meet their specific needs, boost their confidence, and foster a love for reading. With these tools, they can develop the skills necessary to overcome the challenges of dyslexia and thrive in both academics and life.
