Unlocking Literacy: Building a Library of Science of Reading Essentials

I need resources to implement the science of reading, specifically a collection of professional texts on best practices in reading instruction, to create collaborative learning communities with my peers for sharing strategies and insights

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Through this project, I will grow professionally by deepening my understanding of the science of reading and its evidence-based practices. By engaging with texts like "7 Mighty Moves", "Shifting the Balance", and "The Science of Reading in Action", I will enhance my instructional strategies to better support diverse learners. In the classroom, I’ll apply this knowledge to implement more effective, research-backed reading instruction. This will lead to stronger reading skills for my students, improved literacy outcomes, and a more engaging learning environment that fosters lifelong readers. Additionally, by collaborating with peers, I will continuously refine my practice to meet the evolving needs of my students.
