Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

At our school, we strive to create high achieving classrooms and students. Unfortunately, for middle school students, their cell phones are beginning to impact their attention, focus, and learning being done in the classroom.

In today's digital age, smartphones have become an integral part of our daily lives, but they also pose significant challenges, especially in educational settings.

We recognize the impact of phone distractions on students' ability to concentrate, engage in meaningful learning experiences, and perform to their fullest potential.

To address this issue, we are seeking your support in raising funds to purchase phone lock boxes for our classrooms. These lock boxes will provide a secure and convenient solution for temporarily storing students' phones during instructional time, helping to minimize distractions and create a more focused learning environment.

Your generous donation will directly contribute to acquiring high-quality lock boxes that are durable and secure, implementing a systematic approach for collecting and storing phones during class time. Promoting a culture of responsibility and accountability regarding phone usage among students.

By supporting this initiative, you will play a vital role in empowering our students to maximize their learning potential and develop essential skills for success in an increasingly digital world.
