This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love how curious and eager my students are to explore new ideas and expand their knowledge. They bring unique perspectives to the classroom, and each day, they inspire me with their creativity, resilience, and passion for learning.
"Hidden Figures" will introduce them to the incredible stories of African American women who played a crucial role in space exploration.
By having access to this book, students will not only gain a deeper appreciation for the history of STEM but also recognize the importance of perseverance, equality, and breaking barriers. This resource will allow them to engage in meaningful discussions about race, gender, and the power of education while motivating them to pursue their own dreams in fields they might not have previously considered.
