Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Many students can thrive when provided with educational opportunities, and my students are no different. Teaching Language Arts is often a struggle because some students are not fond of reading or language arts. So what is a teacher with little time to do? Make it as engaging as possible!
According to informit.orgs website, "Evidence was found for significant short-term improvements in students' enjoyment and motivation relating to chance, decreases in anxiety about chance, and improvements in students' perceptions about the usefulness of learning about chance." These words reiterate the effects of making learning fun for my middle school students.
The element of working as a team cuts down on anxiety and promotes team building while thinking outside of the box.
A Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will allow me to continue to create learning experiences such as escape rooms both virtual and in person. I already have a couple Jenga games that were donated; however, I can find more activities that are already created to widen the horizons of learning. A gift card will allow me to find activities and innovative activities already planned out.
