it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
TPT gift cards allow for the purchase of adapted books, task boxes, file folder activities, and other resources tailored to the unique learning needs of my K-2 students with autism. These materials will be used to enhance the teaching and improvement of essential social skills, including communication, turn-taking, requesting, and problem-solving. By utilizing these resources, we aim to create a classroom environment where students can develop confidence and independence in their social interactions.
Incorporating a culturally responsive and sustaining education framework, will ensure that the materials reflect the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our students.
This approach is critical in fostering an inclusive learning environment that honors cultural identity while promoting equitable access to education. Adapted resources will allow students to learn and practice social skills in ways that resonate with their personal experiences and cultural contexts, further enhancing engagement and learning outcomes. The purchased resources will also allow for the creation of individualized learning opportunities that will empower my students to build stronger social connections, develop emotional regulation skills, and thrive in both school and community settings.
