Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I would like to ensure that my students have a variety of the "I Can Read" books available in our classroom library. Adding the two book sets and additional titles will add over 40 new titles into our classroom library. I try to create a literacy rich classroom that includes a wide selection of book topics in a range of reading levels. The "I Can Read" books in our classroom library are well loved, and we are in need of some new book titles.
Every student book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care, and my students are thankful for the opportunity to read.
All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind. In my classroom students have a reading book box that they use daily for reading stations. With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their own grade level.
