This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our primary goal at Roland Park is to enrich the musical education of our students through the introduction of drumming. This is only the beginning of our Djembe journey. We wanted to start small and see how far students could excel before we purchased enough for a class of 32 (my largest class) We aim to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels empowered to explore their musical potential.
The djembes we are requesting are essential tools for hands-on learning in our music classroom.
By having access to quality drums, students can practice proper technique, explore rhythmic patterns, and unleash their creativity through improvisation. . With these resources, students can delve deeper into world drumming, expanding their global understanding, musical horizons and honing their talents.
In addition to cultivating musical skills, drumming will:
