My Project

I am constantly inspired by my 8th grade students’ curiosity and enthusiasm for learning. They have a unique knack for diving into complex problems and a genuine love for uncovering the unknown. Their excitement for this mystery unit, which they specifically requested, speaks volumes about their desire to engage with challenging and thought-provoking material.

The novels I am seeking include a diverse collection of mystery books that cater to varying interests and reading levels.

These books will provide students with the opportunity to choose stories that captivate their imaginations, encouraging a love for reading while aligning with Common Core standards.

My primary goal is to create a dynamic and immersive learning experience that not only aligns with the Common Core but also ignites a passion for reading and critical analysis. We aim to develop students' deductive reasoning skills and their ability to think analytically about texts. By engaging with these mystery novels in book clubs, students will practice inferring, predicting, and synthesizing information, all while enjoying the thrill of solving mysteries.

My students are special because of their relentless curiosity and their eagerness to explore new ideas. They are a diverse group with a wide range of talents and interests, which makes our classroom a vibrant and dynamic environment. Their request for a mystery unit demonstrates their willingness to take charge of their learning and their enthusiasm for tackling complex and exciting challenges. This project not only aligns with their interests but also supports their academic growth and love for learning.
