My Project
The Constitution Quest Board Game can be an excellent tool for 7th grade Civics students for several reasons:
Interactive Learning: Board games engage students actively in the learning process.
Hands-On Experience: By playing the game, students can gain a hands-on experience of the concepts related to the Constitution.
Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: The game involves strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving, which are essential skills in Civics and in life.
Collaboration and Communication: This board games requires teamwork and communication among players.
Application of Knowledge: The game provides a platform for students to apply the knowledge they have learned about the Constitution in a practical context.
Differentiated Learning: This board game can be easily adapted to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
Motivation and Engagement: Learning through this game can make Civics more engaging and enjoyable for students.
Overall, the Constitution Quest Board Game can be a valuable resource for my 7th grade Civics students by making learning interactive, hands-on, and enjoyable, while also promoting critical thinking, collaboration, and application of knowledge.
One of my goals is that I have enough of these board games to have 4 students per game. This board game will be used to reinforce what they have learned in my class while acting as an enrichment activity for those students who may have mastered the content.
My students are excited to learn about our government. Many of them are interested in current events and how the State and Federal government shares power. They would love to play this game!
