it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students are a creative and curious group of young readers who love to explore stories that make them laugh, think, and connect with the characters they adore. One of their favorite series is Dog Man, but we only have a few copies available in a school of 904 students. This often leads to waiting lists, making it challenging for everyone to enjoy these books when their enthusiasm is at its peak.
By adding a complete set of Dog Man books to our library, I can provide each student with more opportunities to read independently and share the joy of reading with their peers.
These books are perfect for fostering literacy skills, boosting reading confidence, and keeping students engaged with their favorite characters.
My goal for this project is to cultivate a library culture where every student has access to books they love and feels inspired to become lifelong readers. What makes Lexington students special is their boundless energy and excitement for learning—they light up when they discover stories that truly resonate with them. With your help, we can ensure that no student misses out on the joy of reading their favorite series!
