This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I absolutely adore my students' insatiable curiosity and their unwavering determination to learn. They possess a natural drive to solve problems, tinker creatively, and truly understand how things work. Witnessing this passion in action makes my work as a robotics teacher so incredibly rewarding.

The 3D printing resin and filament we're requesting will transform our learning experience.

Right now, our ability to design innovative solutions is constrained by the pre-fabricated parts we can source. With the power of 3D printing, we can truly unleash our creativity! Students will be able to rapidly prototype custom components, test their ideas in real-world scenarios, and refine their understanding of engineering principles like never before.

My goals for this project extend far beyond winning competitions. I'm passionate about empowering my students to become confident problem-solvers who embrace calculated risks and learn through the process of creation. 3D printing fosters this essential mindset of prototyping, failing constructively, and iterating. These skills will undoubtedly serve them well in future STEM careers and any challenge they choose to pursue. What makes my students special is their collaborative spirit and genuine desire to lift each other up. Our robotics team is a space where ideas are shared freely, failures are seen as stepping stones, and mentorship is the norm. I see future leaders within this group, and providing them with the tools they need to reach their full potential is what drives my work.
