This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school has been blessed with a MakerBot 3D printer that all students have access to use.

3D printing enables the creation of three-dimensional objects that engage multiple senses.

My students are housed in the most restricted environment due to their specific needs.

Whether it's a textured alphabet for learners with dyslexia or a tactile representation of historical artifacts, 3D printing enriches the learning environment by providing a multi-sensory approach to education.

I have a non-verbal student that requested her first non-prompted request. She ASL signed that she wanted a dog to add to her existing art project. We were blown away at this independent request and had to oblige. We are requesting more filament for more independent thinking opportunities.
