Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my preschool 50/50 classroom, half of my students have special education needs. Some of them are non-verbal, while others are still learning to communicate using words and sign language. It is incredibly important for these students to have the ability to express themselves creatively through arts and crafts.

Providing non-verbal and autistic students with the opportunity to engage in artistic activities allows them to communicate, express their thoughts and feelings, and showcase their unique perspectives in a safe and encouraging environment.

Through art and crafts, these children can develop their fine motor skills, cognitive abilities, and emotional expression, ultimately building their confidence and sense of self-worth.
