This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a first-year teacher, I've had the privilege of witnessing the incredible imagination and expression my students bring into the classroom each day. However, our art supply cabinet is nearly empty, and my students are often limited in how they can bring their ideas to life.

My students are curious, creative, and full of potential.

They light up when given the chance to work with their hands, whether it's drawing, painting, or sculpting. Art is not just a break from academics — it's a powerful way for them to process the world, build confidence, and express themselves in ways words sometimes can't.

To support their growth, I’m asking for essential art supplies: construction paper, markers, paints, brushes, glue, scissors, and modeling clay. These materials will be used throughout the year in cross-curricular projects, creative storytelling, and celebrations of heritage and community.

Your support would not only provide tools for artistic expression, but it would also send a message to my students that their creativity matters. With your help, we can turn our classroom into a space where every child feels empowered to create and explore.
