This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"The whole art of teaching is only the art of awakening the natural curiosity of young minds for the purpose of satisfying it afterwards." - Anatole France
My 7th grade students live in a high poverty urban area of Northern California.
Most of them have been priced out of access to computers and the Internet, so the ability to use learning technology on a daily basis at school is crucial. Today's students need access to 21st century technology in order to be successful and fully engaged in their learning.
My students need an iPad with case to have the ability to interact with technology on a daily basis.
My Project
Using an iPad in my classroom daily will expose students to the technology necessary to succeed with middle school, high school, college, and beyond. Boring textbooks do not engage students, but iPads do! Amazing digital tools and apps are available to create presentations, interact with text, research, practice skills, play educational games, and much, much more.
Your donation to this project will help these students keep up with their more affluent peers.
Please help me put the technology where it belongs: in the hands of our amazing, creative, and deserving 7th grade students!
