My Students
Our school is a Title One Assist school and I am fortunate to teach students that are creative, thoughtful and full of questions. They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges which allow them to be creative and think outside of the box.
They come to school each day energetic and ready to learn new things.
They enter the door with a ready to learn attitude and we are busy all day from beginning to end. The amount of learning they accomplish in one year is no easy feat! But with team work and lots of fun projects we get the job done.
My Project
Students at ages 8-9 are full of excitement and energy about learning. I prefer NOT to ask them to stay in their seat all day but instead use flexible seating around the room. I am asking for Wobble Chairs that will let them move/sway without being noticed by others. It will also engage parts of their brain to keep them focused. I am also asking for chair bands which allows a student to have movement with their feet. Again helping them to focus without being noticed by others. These UNIQUE SEATS will help students to keep feeling UPBEAT about learning rather than tied down to a desk!
