This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach at a high poverty school where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch! I have high expectations that they will grow and learn beyond what is expected. We are learning skills such as robotics, coding, and typing along with our curriculum.
School is a safe and happy place for my students.
Each day, they come into the classroom excited about the day and spending time exploring and learning together. For many of my students, being at school is the best part of their day.
My Project
A few of my students are in need of headphones that block our the unwanted noise of the classroom. These headphones will allow the students to concentrate on their work. The pencils grips will allow all students to grip the pencil in a way that will not hurt their fingers. Learning how to hold a pencil can be tough on your fingers. The two writing boards will allow the papers to come closer to the student and will be slanted to view the paper better. The journal and paper is highlighted to show the students where their writing is suppose to be.
