This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students in my middle school program are Autistic which can have various sensory and other fidget needs. My students work hard every day to overcome various challenges and attend their general education classes. One of the needs they have is ways to keep their hands, eyes, or minds busy enough to be able to listen and engage in the classroom.

We work hard to provide a neurodiversity-affirming classroom where all kids can be their unique selves.

The students were contributing members of this list of fidgets. Several have identified fidgets they are wanting to try in class.
