My Project
My students will be starting their Fitness Poster Projects soon, and we are need of basic art supplies to replenish the diminishing supply in our classroom. The poster is the culiminating activity for this particular project. In order for students to meet the criteria of the scoring guide, they will need access to a variety of supplies for classroom use. My goal is for each student to express themselves in a way that makes their posters and included workout unique to their interests, background, and values.
How will students meet the requirements of the project and how will the requested materials help my students you ask?
A portion of the scoring guide is the poster layout. This includes the illustrations and demonstration including pictures, fonts, colors, image and text position as well as the use of blank space. All of the requested materials such as markers, poster board, and stencils will help students master this portion of the scoring guide.
In addition, I have requested a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card in hopes of finding other fitness activities that require creativity to possibly use as an extension to this particular project for those students who are more advanced and may need an additional challenge.
