My students need school uniforms. They can improve learning by reducing distraction, sharpening focus on schoolwork and making the classroom a more serious environment, allowing students to perform better academically.
My students are a group of wonderful special need students who need as many reading experiences as we can incorporate each and every day.
One of my favorite quotes is.."Once you learn to read, you will be forever free." —Frederick Douglass
I would love nothing more than to have everyone of the students who walk into my room in September walk out at the end of the school year reading on grade level. Please help me achieve my dreams!
More than 95% of our students in the school are receiving free lunch. My students are eager to learn new things. They are goal-oriented, ambitious, committed and passionate. The school uniforms would help keep the students focused on their learning. Please help my program continue to improve the lives of my students.
Issues with uniforms happen at our school. Our school needs to be prepared for when this happens. I would like to be able to provide my students with clothing items when needed. The items needed are school uniforms.
Uniforms solve many problems!
Here are just a few....It gives an identity to the child and people can recognize the school the child goes to. It gives uniformity. The different clothes and styles divide the focus of children. The uniform is designed in such a way that it brings the least distraction. The uniform has certain pieces to be worn. The children look smart in the uniform and represent a unity of the school. The uniform also brings discipline as the child has to keep the uniform up to the norms of the school. So he or she knows the length of skirt or trouser, knows that it has to be clean and it should worn to the spirit of it.
A school uniform can improve learning by reducing distraction, sharpening focus on schoolwork and making the classroom a more serious environment, allowing students to perform better academically.
Attending a school which requires uniforms can be hard for some parents. Although I informed parents at the beginning of the school year that their child will need school uniforms, not all our parents may not be able to buy them for financial reasons. Sometimes students outgrow their clothes and some parents do not have the money to replace them. I am asking for uniforms to give to my students whose parents cannot afford to purchase them.
