This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Many of our students come from low income households. Our Families struggle to purchase uniforms year after year for their rapidly growing children and could use a little help. Our school hosts a uniform swap annually, which has been very successful. This year however, we received many Pre-k-K sized clothing. This project is mainly to attain clothing for our older students that require larger sizes. I have seen firsthand how our community of volunteers, school personnel, and business owners come together to support these great school projects, and thought this was my best chance and helping these students and their families get the help they need.
