This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a Bilingual School Adjustment Counselor who is working with newcomers at WHCS. My students are new to the United States and are Learning English as their second language. For most of them, WHCS is their first school in the United States. They come from all over the world and we have a high population from Central America, Brazil, Asia, and Haiti. Most of those students have experienced a lot of trauma in their country of origin, in their journey to the US, and are looking for a better future in the US.

My Project

I working with students who are new to the United States. They are building a new life in the US with their family or unaccompanied minors. They need uniforms to attend school. The students are going to be able to grab uniforms if their parents are unable to purchase them and be able to look like the other students in the school. Please help those students to have what they need as they are starting a new life with little resources. This is going to help the students to comply with the school and integrate into the school.
