Help me give my students soccer uniforms. These jerseys will help us build pride in our school and unity in our team.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students live in an underprivileged, underserved part of our city. I want them to have the same opportunities as their counterparts in more affluent districts. Many of them have grown up playing soccer and are eager to represent their school.
These students face enormous challenges at school, at home, and in their communities but come to practice with a positive growth mindset that blows adversity away.
Soccer is a huge part of the lives of our students, but we need more resources to develop them as individuals, as players, and as a team.
Even though our season starts in February, we have had 20+ students turnout to soccer training in November. These students have worked eagerly on developing their fundamentals and on working together as a team.
My Project
The school only provides funding for transportation and referees; as such, much of our equipment is dilapidated. The uniforms will provide our team with some much needed freshness. Our soccer team last received new jerseys in 2013. These jerseys are cheap, worn-out, and out of style. Last year, students opted to pay for regular t-shirts rather than wear these uniforms.
New uniforms will help build unity and pride for our team and school.
The uniforms will bring the students together under a common color that represents the school. These cool shirts will help build a sense of pride during game day and beyond. The students will see that their school and the larger community around them values them as players and individuals.
