Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are amazing 3rd graders who love to learn, be kind, and make a positive impact on others. We are a Title I school that struggles getting the supplies needed, but my students use their creativity to help find new and different ways to learn.
Each day, my students come to school ready to learn.
Each day provides them with an opportunity to grow their brains and souls. My goal, as their teacher, is to prepare them not only for the end of year assessments, but for the world beyond. I want them to embark on a journey of being a lifelong learner.
My Project
These Kid Power UNICEF bands will provide my students with an exciting and engaging way to monitor their physical activity. These bands are designed to encourage students to strive for a healthier lifestyle. Kid Power excites students into becoming activist of change by providing them with the wonderful opportunity of giving back to children in need around the world. The UNICEF Kid Power Band will be used to make a difference in the world. My students will get physically activity to keep them healthy and UNICEF will donate RUTF food packets to starving children. Through this program, I am striving to show the students that they can make a difference, even at their age, by doing something small that in turn will help them maintain good health through our physical activities.
