This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a diverse group of eager learners at a cute little Title I school located in the southeast corner of Dallas, Texas.

My students may be a little further away from city life than some, but they care a great deal about receiving the best education possible.

They work as a team in every aspect of learning, and they take pride in the success of the classroom. Their creativity and enthusiasm during their daily activities can't be quelled.

My Project

Have you ever had a word that you didn't understand, or one that, when you wrote it, didn't provide the intended impact? My students suffer from an inability to find meaning and word mastery quite often due to a lack of dictionaries and thesauruses.

My students need dictionaries and thesauruses to help them become better readers, speakers and thinkers.

They will use the dictionaries to give meaning to unknown words during their reading time. They will utilize thesauruses when creating stories to help bring those tales to life. And, they will utilize both to build a more effective, vibrant and efficient vocabulary for public speaking and presentations.
