Uncover the Earth's Secrets: Hands-on Geology Lab Experiments

My Project

These items will enable students at our school to be able to do hands-on labs to learn about the earth, fossils and geologic time. Students will gain access to hands-on labs and learn skills that are relevant to becoming a scientist. Teaching through hands-on learning activities will give my students the best chance of internalizing the information and really remembering what I have taught them about their world. Please help us obtain toilet paper, glue sticks and fossil kits.

Using hands-on and minds-on activities will allow our kinesthetic learners to see first hand what they are learning in earth science.

The lab equipment will be used to learn about rocks, the rock cycle, and geologic time. The protist mix is for after we come back from spring break. It is hard to find pond water that is alive in Indiana in April.
