My Project

Aloha!

I am a special education teacher in Waimanalo, Hawaii.

This being my first year of teaching, I am learning on the go and love this opportunity to get supplies and learning tools and toys for my wonderful children. I will use these tools, toys and learning centers to develop strengths in ELA, Math, fine motors skills, art and communication. I need a laminator, laminating sheets, rings, organizational bins and plenty of play-based learning toys, centers, and art supplies to get my classroom humming to its full potential.

My kids are learning phonics well, and I hope to build on our momentum quickly by moving on to our first sight and CVC words. CVC and literacy centers and games will greatly motivate my children to continue their growth in this area. The same with math. The more tools, games and centers that I can use will make it easier and more effective to teach and make learning fun for my students. The more tools I have to teach math, the better. Getting math magnets and more counting games will help build their understanding as we move forward.

Working in a public school with limited resources, I am grateful for this opportunity to enter our 2nd quarter of the year with supplies on the way! My kids deserve as much as anybody else, and I believe these gifts will help me and my students succeed.
