My Project

My students love to exercise their creativity during their downtime in the library. It's so fun to watch them take on a new type of project together, whether it's crafting pipe cleaner flowers or solving a puzzle. I want to add beads and embroidery floss so they can make and share bracelets, add beads to their pipe cleaner creations, or create beaded animal keychains for themselves and their friends.

Bead crafts give teens the chance to unplug and unwind, try something new, and take home something tangible that they made themselves.

I want my students to know that the library is a place of discovery and learning all kinds of skills. When they wear or swap bracelets or use a keychain they made, they'll think about the time they spent together.

And of course, in the library it's all about organization: we need storage containers to help keep everything contained, sort beads as needed, and hold keychains so that students can access everything by themselves.
