My Students
When you walk into my dance room, your soul is now Free, and the mission is to be vulnerable to the movement as you can possibly be. Dance is your pulse, your heartbeat, and your breathing. Dream. Believe in yourself. Work hard. Enjoy the process. Love the art. Dance with your heart.
My students are some of the hardest working dancers I know.
They not only practice hard and represent their school proudly, but they also maintain high GPAs. They are also dedicated to helping others in our community through participating in multiple community service activities. We have a true family, training nine months out of the year and on their off time still wanting to spend time together to support each other and make memories to last a lifetime.
My Project
With the increase in enrollment comes the increase amount of impurities in the air. A dehumidifier will help keep the air free of air born germs.
Ballet cannot be successfully done without ballet barres. Barres will increase the efficiency of the dancer's performance of movement skills.
Sometimes, it's easier for a student to watch a visual and access to understand how to improve as a dancer. The camcorder will allow me to record each student individually on multiple occasions and allow them to watch and self reflect. This will surely represent and display their growth in technique.
Lastly, dance has evolved into include more acrobatic elements of dance. I would use the incline mat to increase their tumbling skills.
This project will assist in lowering expense cost in the dance department.
Because we are a low income school, and this is a newly established dance program, there are no funds for our department. We could use the community's helping hand.
