My Students

My music classroom is a place of discovery and fun. In music class, my students create, move, and listen to music in a safe, comfortable environment. My students consist of kindergarten through fifth grade children in a town outside of Texas.

Our families come from a variety of diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Music class is a place where all students can be successful in learning all about music from all over the world while having a great time.

My Project

Students get excited when they come into the music room and they see instruments out and ready to play! Instrument playing in the music room is an engaging and hands-on way to learn many musical concepts.

My students are always thrilled to see me play my personal ukulele, and they often ask to play it themselves.

It is a fantastic instrument for children because it is easy to use with small hands, and its gentle sound makes it ideal for the classroom.

I would be thrilled to incorporate ukuleles into my curriculum and help to nurture a love for music through an accessible and fun instrument!
