My students come from a diverse background with many from low income households. Music is what brings us together! I teach the entire school twice a week and have the pleasure to watch them grow year after year from Kindergarten to 5th grade.
Many of my students do not have opportunities to experience music and culture outside of my classroom.
They love to sing, dance, create, and play. Music brings them so much joy! Music is what supports our community.
My Project
My students are super creative and love playing new instruments. These ukuleles will be used with 4th and 5th graders to support their music education. They already play recorders and sing. These ukuleles also will be used with my after school choir and the 5th grade graduation ceremony.
Ukuleles perfectly support the child singing voice and allow for the life long pleasure of making music.
On average my class size is 25 students which is why I need 30 ukuleles. I know my creative students will love to play and perform with these instruments. We would greatly appreciate your help.
