This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

When I started teaching Ukulele, the class ran with no published materials - we used sing-along videos and any tab we could get our hands on. Since then, we acquired a method book, which was a big help, but the students didn't have access to quality music they were interested in.

This project will provide my students with a diverse library of quality ukulele arrangements, allowing them to choose the genre and songs they want to work on rather than having to play the same music the rest of the class is playing.

It will help them develop into mature, self-motivated musicians.
