This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students come from a school that is committed to providing an educational foundation that prepares each one to be a productive, socially responsible citizen and a lifelong learner. The close-knit community of families and the school’s highly educated faculty work collaboratively to provide an environment that fosters each child’s development and success.

What I love about my students is their hunger to learn about how things work.

I'm really excited to see how fast they learn from their successes and failures. Our class has really taken off on the ukulele this year. We are currently using them in class and also school programs. As they continue with their progress, they will begin to do team and independent work which builds musicianship skills. We hope to be able to have a ukulele rack to make things easier when cleaning up to store our ukuleles. Having a rack will ensure that our ukuleles our cared for and available for years to come.
