This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 7th and 8th grade students in general music are learning how to play ukuleles. The students in the class are having a great time exploring their abilities and learning how to play their instruments. We will work on skills that will improve finger dexterity, coordination, music theory, and note recognition.

We have a classroom set of ukuleles and are interested in using wall mounts and shelves to display and mount them around the classroom.

It will look awesome to see the instruments hung around the room.

We are also asking for 2 ukulele song books to inspire our music students to higher levels of interest and achievement. These activities will challenge my students abilities and understanding of many music concepts and is the perfect learning challenge for them.
