Help me give my students the opportunity to build self-esteem and self control with Ukulele packs.

My students are from the city of Youngstown. They will come to school with very little life experience. I teach in an inclusion classroom which includes 12 special education students. I would like to give all of them an opportunity to learn a life skill that they can carry forward. Music is something that they enjoy, and I would like to teach them to use it in a way that expresses their creativity. will also give them a sense of peace and accomplishment.
Music in my classroom will create an atmosphere of peace. I am working to create a community where students can learn and work together. I want to have a project based learning behavior incentive for students to learn a life skill, that they can use to grow their self esteem and self-control. Students working together to teach each other how to play the ukulele will foster positive atmosphere in our classroom. We will use technology as a learning resource to build our skills. I have also planned for a local senior citizens group to come in and help us learn. This inter-generational activity will help my students learn respect for others.
