Our students love to make music. They are becoming well-rounded musicians by learning how to read and write music, how to sing and play instruments, and how to appreciate music from different time periods and different cultures. Our school music program services children in Pre-K through 5th grade.
My students are very passionate about music and show a lot of enthusiasm and potential in music class.
They especially love to play instruments. I would love to give them lots of unique musical experiences that they can always remember.
The ukulele is a perfect beginning string instrument for children. Their small, lightweight size, soft nylon strings, and easy-to-form chords help children of all ages to feel successful at playing a real instrument!
With these ukuleles, my students will build confidence by increasing their music reading skills, hand-eye coordination, literacy, and ability to make connections across a wide variety of disciplines.
We will learn songs from a variety of genres and cultures and will develop an appreciation for music from all over the world. We appreciate your help in getting us started with playing the ukulele at our school. Thank you!
