This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am asking for ukuleles for my 3rd - 5th grade general music classes, because I believe these instruments will open a new door to music for my students! Not only will it give them an opportunity to learn even more about music, but for many, it will be a step towards a life-long love of music making.
My goal is to provide my students with an instrumental music experience that will allow them to further their music education while learning skills and values such as reasoning, patience, discipline, self-worth, and community.
I believe that starting instrumental music at a young age will provide my students with a venue for growth, both as musicians and community members, through the rest of their education and beyond.
