My Project

I am looking to expanding my students knowledge of instruments and music. By proving each student in my special education federal setting 3 groups with a ukulele you will be supporting the arts and creativity. You will also be fostering new outlets for students who struggle with emotional and physical regulation. By teaching students to play ukulele I am teaching them valuable skills that will carry into other class as well as outside of school. Allowing students to explore instruments teaches them many skills that will increase their success in school and in life.

Special education students deserve the same access to instruments as their general education peers.

My students work very hard on using music to regulate their bodies and learn routines. I have made it my goal to expose them to all sorts of music. They have always showed excitement when they get to play along and makes their day better which in turn helps them to learn!
