My students range from grades 6-8 and include regular education, honors, autistic support, and emotional support. These students are curious and eager to have as many opportunities available to them as possible.
These students are in an urban school district, but their work ethic will put a smile on the face of anyone who has the pleasure of meeting them.
My students are always looking to learn new instruments. Many of my students are struggling with playing the guitar (and it does not help that some of the guitars are so broken that it makes it almost impossible to use). I would love to give them the opportunity to learn the ukulele since it is more accessible to the students in my school. These students want to explore the musical world and would love the materials to be able to do so!
My Project
Giving students the opportunity to express themselves is one of the reasons why music education is so important!
Many of my students struggle with learning the guitar, and I want to be able to help them learn another instrument of similar construction (the Ukulele), but with one that is more accessible to every shape and sizes of my students!
My students are always interested in picking up new instruments, but recently, many students have shown interest in learning the Ukulele.
I teach in an urban school district and I am always looking for ways to engage my students and tailor their learning to each student. This means having many different instrumental opportunities.
