Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is filled with creative, lively, and fun loving kids in kindergarten through fifth grade.

Each student brings a different spark to my classroom, and that is something that I love so much about them.

Something that is also incredible about this school is the dual language program that we provide for students. My classroom is constantly filled with Spanish and English, and it creates a warm and welcoming environment for the entire student population.

Although resources aren't always available to them, the students are grateful, and willing to work with what we've got.

My Project

This project is being made simply to allow my students to have the proper equipment to store their classroom instruments in.

Right now, our classroom ukuleles are being stored in torn up, old cases that the instruments immediately fall out of when picked up.

In supplying the classroom with new cases, the students can start to understand the importance of keeping our instruments safe and well cared for. I express to them the importance of this each class as we take our instruments out, and put them away, but my words only go so far when the instrument cases look as they do.
