it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students need some new U- SHAPED tables to learn math in a more concrete way during our small group instruction. Our school is located in a low socioeconomic area of the city, but that doesn't determine the hopes and goals our students have for themselves. Eighty percent or more of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch, with parents that have two jobs to support their families. We have a variety of ethnic groups and home languages. Our students are eager to learn. They come to school every day with great attitudes despite what happens at home and they want to go to college and be successful. Statistics show that our students are most at risk of failure and dropping out. Don't let these great kids have academic success pass them by. Students that come from very diverse homes need to build their self-confidence to be successful in life. Teaching kids in poverty implies the need to express how successful they are being during their learning. We need to provide positive feedback all the time.
