This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are lovable 7th and 8th graders in a small inner-city school. My school is small, K-8 school; therefore, the student body is like close-knit family. As they have grown up in this small community and have been in the same school since Kindergarten.

In general, my students are eager to learn and enjoy experimenting with technology.

They enjoy working together and having fun while learning. However, one areas that my students needs improvement in is literacy. My goal is to change that.

My Project

In today's society, technological skills such as typing, word processing, coding, etc. are important. With society becoming more digitalized and technological, it is imperative that students are given the opportunity to effective use technology and gain technological skills. Currently, my students technological skills are weak; however, I strive to change this.

These Chromebooks will help my students improve their technological skills thus making them competitive in this digital society.

By using this device the students will be able to research and construct their own knowledge of the concepts we will cover in the classroom. In addition, the students will have the opportunity to learn keyboarding and other technology skills that would make them competitive in this global society. The use of technology in the classroom will prepare them for the future and a career in this technological society
