Help me give my students bags to carry their supplies to and from their related arts classes. Your donations will help purchase the materials students need to tye-dye their bags to personalize them to match their house color.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Nief's classroom raised $928
This project is fully funded
My Students
Our school is a mostly low-income/high-poverty school, with all students receiving free breakfast and lunch. Many of our students are overcoming multiple challenges both in and out of the classroom. This year has brought a new set of challenges. My school is serving 458 students with 161 virtual students this semester.
We have divided our school into "Houses" to help support and cheer each other on throughout the school day.
We use our houses to build community in and out of the school. Our five houses are Fidelis (loyalty, yellow), Superbia (pride, orange), Patientia (patience, green), Viribus (strength, red), and Fortem (bravery, blue).
Students can earn "house points" for their house by showing the use of character traits like cooperation, respect, and responsibility. As well as the 7 Habits of Happy Kids. We celebrate the house in the lead each week, each 4 1/2 weeks, each 9 weeks, and at the end of the year.
My Project
These materials will help our students tremendously! Because of the pandemic and social distancing, students are not allowed to share materials at school without the materials getting disinfected after every student. Disinfection takes valuable instructional time and organizational space. To combat this issue, students carry their supplies to and from related arts classes like art, music, S.T.E.M, theater, P.E., and library. Our students need bags to carry their supplies to help prevent damage caused to their Chromebooks by dropping.
Your donations will help us host a Tye-Dye House Party to build community and help to protect our Chromebooks.
Donations will provide supplies the kids need to safely transfer their supplies from class to class. As well as the materials needed to personalize them and reflect their houses.
